Karen Hamill

Karen Hamill, MA, RCC, worked in the research lab while completing her doctoral level graduate studies.  She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Karen is currently completing a doctoral degree in Counselling Psychology and is the recipient of a SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship.  She is leading the research team in a validation study of a brief screening tool for the detection of anxiety in young children.

Karen’s research interests include the areas of childhood anxiety, prevention & early intervention, developmentally appropriate & empirically supported treatment for young children, and parental mental illness.
